Although the majority of the work undertaken at our Rayleigh bodyshop revolves around major crash repairs, our team also undertakes traditional car bodywork repairs to restore damage caused in non-accident situations. Car body repairs cover everything from smaller cosmetic-based work, where we use modern SMART repair techniques to fix minor dents and paintwork scratches, to large-scale repairs on several different panels.
We know from experience that our customers in Rayleigh, Basildon, Benfleet, Canvey Island, Hockley, Rochford, Southend, Wickford and Essex take amazing pride in their vehicles. Car bodywork repairs help to keep those vehicles in pristine condition. Although car body repairs aren’t always attributable to road traffic accidents, they often relate to accidental damage caused in car parks or by the owner. This means that your insurance company might be prepared to cover the cost of the damage and the necessary repair work.
RPC Accident Repair Centre reminds you that you don’t have to use the bodyshop your insurer recommends, and that you have the right to have car bodywork repairs undertaken by a company you already know and trust. We welcome insurance repairs, but we are equally happy to take on private work that is being paid for directly by the customer.
In much the same way as we do with accident repairs, RPC uses the industry’s most modern equipment to perform car body repairs at our workshop in Rayleigh. This includes the use of water-based paints and refinishing in an innovative low-bake oven which lowers VOC emissions, reduces the potential for contamination in paintwork and decreases drying times. We overlay all water-based colours with protective two-pack clear coats.
On smaller car bodywork repairs, RPC Accident Repair Centre has the option of using the latest SMART (Small to Medium Area Repair Technique) repair methods. SMART systems work particularly well for bumper repairs and on damaged paintwork where refinishing takes place over localised areas. This provides numerous benefits for our Rayleigh, Basildon, Benfleet, Canvey Island, Rochford, Hockley, Southend, Wickford and Essex customers.
Less material is used and the work is less labour-intensive. In turn, this makes the cost of car body repairs lower – an excellent service point for those who are paying from their own pockets rather than using an insurance company. Estimates for car bodywork repairs are provided directly from our Rayleigh bodyshop but for those who don’t have the time to visit us personally, no-obligation estimates can be provided at their homes or workplaces.
